From seed to market in just one month, on the 28th July we planted and now our spinach is ready, and so are our young agripreneurs! Through the Reconnecting Children to Agriculture (RCA) program, powered by PremaGrow and HGT Kenya, and proudly sponsored by Rijk Zwaan, we’ve cultivated more than crops we’ve cultivated confidence, curiosity, and community.
At SFS School, Katani Machakos County, learners have not only grown high-quality spinach, but also planted trees to protect the environment they now understand and cherish. This is agriculture as education, conservation, and empowerment.
Next week, we take the bold step: Market Day. Our learners will experience the full cycle of agribusiness turning hard work into income, and ideas into action. This is how we build entrepreneurial mindsets and sustainable futures.
We’re still planting. Still growing. Still moving, Kales, Cabbages, Tomatoes, and Colored Capsicum are coming up quite fast.
