Spinach Harvesting in Kitengela – Reconnecting Children to Agriculture
The Reconnecting Children to Agriculture (RCA) program continues to make a remarkable impact at Sunrise of Africa School, Kitengela, through hands-on learning experiences that bring farming closer to young minds.
On 17th October 2025, the school will proudly host a Spinach Sale Event starting at 2:30 pm, showcasing fresh spinach grown by the students themselves under the RCA initiative. This event highlights not just the success of their greenhouse project but also the value of agriculture as a sustainable and rewarding practice for future generations.
Through the support of PremaGrow, Holland Greentech, and Rijk Zwaan, learners have gained practical knowledge in crop management—from seedling to harvest. The spinach sale symbolizes their hard work, teamwork, and growing appreciation for agriculture as both a science and a way of life.
Parents, teachers, and community members are invited to attend and support the young farmers as they celebrate their harvest and reconnect with the land that sustains us all.
